Downstream processing is planned to be located approximately 260 km northeast of Monte Alto at the Camaçari Petrochemical Complex.
Established in the 1970s and covering more than 7,000 hectares, Camaçari is the largest petrochemical complex in the Southern Hemisphere and hosts more than 90 companies across the chemical, petrochemical, metallurgical and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Camaçari provides a significant structural advantage for BRE’s integrated development strategy, including:
- Established industrial infrastructure, utilities and logistics
- Chemical feedstock supply chains and industrial services
- Skilled workforce experienced in complex chemical and metallurgical operations
- Mature regulatory framework for advanced industrial processing activities
